This Week in Travel Vol.12

There are so many travel blogs & publications I read on a daily basis! Wanted to share some of my favorite links, articles, info graphics and tips from around the web this week.

• L-O-V-E these 12 small ways to travel. You DEFINITELY don't need to be rich to explore (I'll keep repeating myself until you believe me :)
• You can keep your New Year's Resolution by going on a fit-cation at one of these hotels. 
• I've always thought these would be genius in airports!
• Ooo la la! 10 romantic spas for a Valentine's Day getaway. 
• Have you booked with a travel agent? 6 reasons supporting why you should... I'm not convinced yet. 
• This guy was the only one on the airplane. I've barely seen a dozen empty seats in years! They're always packed full! 
• The best flight-searching website you've never heard of. It's my personal favorite, and I'll explain a little more why SOON!
• Some travel trends for 2015, including Cat Cafes. I'm a happy camper. :)
• Cozy cities? Sign me up! Three of these are on my top 5 list for the year!
• Now is the time to take a beach vacation! Ok, ok, you twisted my arm.
• Last week I posted some tips from my favorite mamas on traveling with kids (not for me! I'm not pregnant! REPEAT - not pregnant. I just get asked for tips a lot ;) and these strategies for traveling as a family are great!
• Keep these tips in mind if you're traveling with ski/snowboard gear this winter.
• Forgive me Southwest, for I have sinned - I've never given the airline much credit (apart from free checked bags, which only is necessary for work trips!), but I recently learned about the Southwest Companion Pass & I'm obsessed with getting it.

Seriously... obsessed with getting a Southwest Companion Pass. I always assumed it was just a 1 free flight pass (not worth working so hard for!), but have recently learned once you earn the points, you can have your "companion" fly FREE for the rest of that year and the following year. In theory, you could have almost 2 full years of free flights for your spouse/family member/best friend. INCREDIBLE! Has anyone achieved this honor?
